Mumbai, June 9: Well-known performer of the Bollywood celluloid, Manoj Bajpayee starrer “Budhia Singh – Born to Run” is scheduled to be released on August 5.
The movie, directed by Soumendra Padhi, lays down a biography of Budhia Singh who’s known to have run 48 marathons one of which was from Bhubaneswar to Puri at a very early age of 5 years. The film stars Tillotama Shome and Master Mayur as the lead characters under the banner of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Code Red Film Productions.
Notably, Budhia Singh is a boy from Odisha and world’s youngest marathon runner. He ran from Odisha’s State Capital Bhubaneswar to Puri at the age of 4 covering 60 kms in 7 hours and 2 minutes and was listed as the world’s youngest marathon runner in the Limca Book of Records in the year 2006. Earlier, a feature length documentary called ‘Marathon Boy’ was released in 2011, which was nominated for an EMMY.
