A private bus caught fire following a collision with a culvert near the Baramunda bus stand in Bhubaneswar on Monday. This happened in the wee hours on the service road under the Baramunda overbridge leading to the Baramunda bus stand.
Sources said the bus was coming to the city from Berhampur in the Ganjam district. All passengers were immediately deboarded from the vehicle. A team of fire service pressed into the job and the fire could be brought under control.
The exact reason behind the fire outbreak is yet to be known.
However, two passengers along with the driver and conductor were injured in the mishap. They have been admitted to Capital Hospital.
