Bus Collides With A Truck, Catches Fire Near Nashik; 11 Dead
Eleven people were killed and over 20 others injured in a bus accident on Nasik-Aurangabad Highway in the wee hours of Saturday.

On Saturday morning, a private passenger bus collided with a truck and caught fire, inflicting at least 11 fatalities and over 20 injuries.

According to the Nashik Police, the accident happened at around 5 a.m. on Aurangabad Road close to Nashik.

Many of the passengers, who were sleeping in the early hour, were trapped inside the burning bus because the impact of the collision was so severe.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who expressed sorrow over the tragedy, ordered immediate free medical care for everyone injured and announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakhs for the families of the victims.

He added that an investigation into the incident would be conducted to determine the precise factors that contributed to the tragedy that struck the Yavatmal-to-Mumbai bus.
