Bhubaneswar, Oct 5: Today with the beginning of the students’ union elections at various colleges and universities in the state the fate of the aspiring candidates will be decided. As per the information the voting process has already been started and will continue till 2 pm. To keep an eye on the smooth process of the voting, supervising officers and presiding officers have been appointed. Along with this, police forces have also been deployed at all the campuses to maintain law and order during the process. The results will be announced today in the evening.
700 colleges in the state has stated to be eligible for holding the student’s union election. It may be noted that, due to pre poll violence, the students’ union election has been canceled in 32 colleges.
