Deogarh, Sep 10: Today a canal over bridge near Baniakilinda here collapsed thus creating problems in transportation on the NH-49.
It’s stated that Bengasula canal over bridge collapsed last night because of extreme showers here. Thus, the middle pillar of the bridge split following which it caved in. Vehicular traffic along Mumbai-Kolkata route has been seriously affected and hundreds of trucks remained stranded on both sides of the road.
Also several areas of Baniakilinda were inundated with water after the bridge collapsed.
