Angul, Dec 31: In an another case of cash being deposited by anonymous sources, around Rs 5,000 to Rs 25, 000 have been deposited in around 20 accounts in Bank of India, Amalapra Branch, Angul and also has been withdrawn from these accounts.
After knowing about this, account holders rushed to the bank. But when asked about it to the bank officials, the officials didn’t answer any of their questions, account holders informed. And when they asked to update their passbooks, the bank official refused to do so by saying no prints will be available today.
Later, to avoid any trouble for these transactions, the account holders have filed a complaint about this with Angul Police.
The police are investigating into the matter but no statements from bank officials as well as police could yet be obtained.
