Bhubaneswar, April 8: A team of the Central Bureau of Investigation Thursday raided Seashore Group CMD Prashant Dash’s paternal house at Angul in connection with the Chit fund scam.
The houses of two women Directors of the company, being probed for the multi-crore chit fund scam in the State, were also raided by a team of sleuths from Ranchi office.
According to sources, Sea Shore group is alleged to have duped investors in Jharkhand to the tune of Rs 70 lakh and the raids were in that connection. Notably, Das is in jail here for the past several months in connection with the probe over the scam.
A large number of people have been arrested by the investigating agency, which includes a sitting Lok Sabha MP Ramchandra Hansda, a MLA Pravat Tripathy and a former MLA Subarna Nayak.
