Chief Minister felicitates Crafts Genius

Bhubaneswar, August 9 : Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik today felicitated Sri Prabhanjan Patra, who was adjudged best in the National Crafts Competition organized by Ministry of Skill Development. Sri Patra was a student of Cuttack ITI in Fitter Trade during 2014-2016 academic years. Appreciating the talent and efforts of Sri Patra, the Chief Minister said he is the real Ambassador of the Skilled-in-Odisha Vision and an inspiration to the students of crafts and skill. The Chief Minister wished him great success in the years ahead.

Chairman,   Skill Development Authority, Shri Subrato Bagchi, Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner and other senior officers were present during the function.The parents and his Instructors at Cuttack ITI were also present.

It may be mentioned here that Sri Patra is a resident of Manapur village of Kujanga in Jagatasinghpur district. Coming from a poor financial background, Sri Patra started studying computer fundamentals and AUTO CAD and then worked in a private company.  After that, he took admission in ITI, Cuttack during 2014 and successfully completed in 2016. In the State Level Skill Competition   he stood first in Fitter Trade for which he was selected to participate in the 53rd All India Skill Completion held at Kanpur. In this competition he also stood first and declared as “Best Trainee”.  He will be awarded one “Certificate of Merit” and a cash prize of Rs.50, 000 by DGE&T, New Delhi, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship,   Govt. of India and ITI Cuttack will be awarded as Best Institute.

Presently, he has also been selected in Campus interview conducted at ITI, Cuttack on 25.7.17 by Tata Advanced System Ltd., Hyderabad. He will be an inspiration to all trainees of this institution for all the time to come.
