CM Mohan Majhi announces ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh for Sambalpur student

Bhubaneswar: Odisha CM Mohan Majhi has expressed grief over the death of Sambalpur Class 9 student who died in road accident. He announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh for the deceased student.

Taking to his X, CM announced ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh for the family of the deceased from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Sources said, a private school student of Class 9, identified as Ayushman Behera, was returning from school to him home at around 10.45 am on Friday. A tractor coming from the other direction hit him. He was critically admitted to Sambalpur District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).

However, doctors declared him dead. The locals shared their displeasure over the death of the student. A pall of gloom descended on the family of the deceased.
