Cold Wave To Continue In Odisha For Two More Days
Northwesterly/ northerly dry and cold wind at lower levels penetrating over Odisha and under its influence isolated cold wave is very likely over some parts of interior Odisha during next two days, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday.
As per the forecast, no large change in minimum temperature (Night temperature) expected during next 2 days and gradual rise by 2-3 C in subsequent three days over districts of Odisha. Also minimum temperature will be below normal by 3 C to 5 C at most places over the districts of Odisha.
Yellow Warning has been issued by IMD to Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Bargarh, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Angul and Keonjhar District. As said by IMD, Cold wave condition is very like to prevail at one or two places over the said districts up to 830 Hrs IST of 30th Jan’2022.
Also, IMD has issued yellow warning to the districts of Jharsuguda, Balangir, Bargarh, Nuapada, Sonepur and Kalahandi. Cold wave conditions is very likely to prevail at one or two places over the said districts from 30th to 31th Jan’2022.
The Meteorological Department further predicted that the minimum temperature during night is likely to fall gradually by three to five degree Celsius in most of the districts in the State in the next two days. However, the night temperature will rise from the end of January.
