Bhubaneswar: June 20: After BJP, now state unit of Congress raised voice against the alleged irregularities of the allotment of houses under Rajib Awas Yojana Scheme in Bhubaneswar Municipal area. On Monday, Congress activists gheraoed BMC office under the leadership of Sr.Congress leader Suresh Routray and demanded the resignation of dy.Mayor K.Shanti. Activists held a meeting in front of BMC office and alleged that K.Shanti has cornered eleven houses under Rajiv Awas Yojana and in total 150 houses were allotted to BJD leaders and workers. While staging dharana, activists sought for a CBI probe on this matter.
Notably, BJP on Wednesday alleged that K.Shanti has cornered few houses in her relatives name under Rajiv Awas Yojana Housing Scheme. Right to Information (RTI) had been revealed about k.Shanti and her relatives name in the beneficiary list under RAY scheme.
