Bhubaneswar, Jan 18: The State Congress will today stage a protest against the failure in lifting the weekly cash withdrawal limit of Rs 24,000 even after two and a half months since demonetization, in front of the regional office of Reserve Bank of India in Bhubaneswar.
Senior party leader and former Union minister Shivraj Patil, pradip Bhatacharya and Subhankar Sarkar and others will also join the protest, said sources.
Congress will hold the protest alleging the suffering of farmers and common people due to demonetization.
The congress earlier had staged demonstration protesting central government’s move of demonetization.
