Congress to protest against Odisha Govt over farmers’ suicide

Bhubaneswar, Oct 21: Odisha Congress will hold a rally against the ruling BJD raising the drought situation and farmers’ suicide.

The Chasi Banchao rally will be held on November 6 in all blocks across the State.

Addressing a press conference here today, OPCC chief Prasad Harichandan demanded the government to declare entire Odisha as the drought-hit and to provide Rs 10 lakh as compensation to the families of the farmers who have ended their lives under extreme burden of debt.
