Cuttack, Mar 4: The Rs 17.8 lakh cash loot from the Corporation Bank ATM near High Court Chhak here is suspected to be a cyber crime as per the city DCP. It is been suspected by the cops that the ATM’s server was hacked following which a new password was generated to withdraw the money from the ATM. After analyzing the Close Circuit Television Camera (CCTV) footage, the police have come to terms that two persons were involved in the robbery. The DCP further informed that they have identified the gang involved in the robbery. Currently, the case is being investigated by a special team of the Commissionerate Police with help from forensic and cyber crime experts. Notably, Rs 17.48 lakh from the ATM had been looted by some miscreants. The loot came into light when the bank authorities checked the statement. A case was registered in Lalbagh Police Station.
