New Delhi: January 23: India has reported 14,256 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours. For last 16 days, the Country has been reporting less than 20,000 daily cases. Total cases in India increased to 1,06,39,684 as on date, as per the information of Health Ministry.
Also, India recorded 152 fresh deaths in last 24 hours and with this, the overall death toll stood at 1,53,184.
As per the Ministry’s data, 10,300,838 people have recovered so far and currently there are 1,85,662 active cases, which is 1.74 per cent of the total cases registered.
The recovery rate stands at 96.82 per cent, while the fatality rate at 1.44 per cent.

About 84 per cent of the daily new cases are reported from eight states — Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh.
