CRRI to train Dhenkanal farmers on multiple crops

Dhenkanal, January 4: Farmers of five villages in Dhenkanal district will be trained by agriculture scientists on demand driven crops including paddy on Lab to Land basis.

These experts will discuss with the farmers of the five villages directly on multi-crop cultivation for five years as part of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mere Gaon, Mere Gourav scheme.

The villages are Nagiapasi, Harekrushnapur, Krushnakumarpur, Phatkei and Dahimal.

Two senior scientists of Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI) Dr L K Bose and Senior scientist on crop physiology and Biochemistry A Kumar held discussion recently with Agriculture Deputy Director Chhabindra Behera and agriculture scientists to collect data about farmers, village and types of crops cultivated in these villages.
