Cuttack: 2 arrested for anti-national activity

Cuttack: At least two persons have been arrested in Cuttack of Odisha for anti-national activity. Chauliaganj Police arrested the two accused persons as they had raised the slogan ‘Pakistan Zindabad’, recorded it and made viral on social media.

The two arrested persons who have been arrested on charges of anti-national activities have been identified as Saurabh Kumar Sahu and Gautam Lenka from Mahanadi Vihar area of Cuttack.

As per reports, on the last 15th, they had raised anti-national slogans near Gandhipalli Gada on the bank of River Mahanadi. Accused Saurabh raised the slogan and Gautam recorded it on his mobile. After that, the accused knowingly made it viral.

Chauliyaganj police have seized two mobile phones from the possession of the accused persons in this context.

The Commissionerate Police informed that there are two cases pending in the name of the arrested Saurabh in Chauliyaganj police station.

The Commissionerate Police also said that the two accused tried to destroy communal harmony in Cuttack city.
