Cyclonic storm likely to hit Andhra, Odisha under special watch

Bhubaneswar, Dec 8: Cyclonic storm VARDAH caused due to a deep depression in the Bay of Bengal likely to hit the coast of Andhra, as Odisha will remain mostly undisturbed.

The pressure created early in the south of the Country which was to hit Tamil Nadu is moving north and will continue for some more time before turning north west mostly towards Andhra, which will hit the coast in likely next 4 days. If the cyclone crosses Visakhapatnam, then it would affect Odisha, if it crosses farther, then the impact will be minimal, said sources.

A warning has been issued to the District Collectors of Odisha to keep an eye on the changing climate conditions and the farmers have been advised to keep their harvest under cover to avoid any uncertain damage from the rains, said sources.
