Cuttack, April 3: Bhola Bhagat, a close associate of notorious Dhalasamant gangster brothers was Saturday produced before the Sub- Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court here at the end of his remand period.
Earlier on Monday, the Cuttack SDJM Court had granted the Commissionerate Police permission to take Bhola on a five day remand for further interrogation on his crime dealings.
Bhola, a key henchman of the Dhalasamants, was on the run since the arrest of the D-brothers from Pokhariput in the city. He was arrested from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh on March 19 by a Special Squad of the Commissionerate Police with the help of their UP counterparts.
Meanwhile, self-styled godman Sarathi Baba alias Santosh Roul testified before a Special Court here on Saturday through video conferencing.
His son Satyam, alongwith four other accussed in the criminal charges slapped against Sarathi and his associates, also appeared before the court.
After appearing before the court, Satyam said that he has full faith on the judicial system and he will accept any decision the court gives.
