Mumbai, Apr 12: Speculations are doing rounds which says that Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has opted out of Shah Rukh Khan starring film directed by Tanu weds manu famed director Anand L Rai. From the past couple of months, there had been speculations that Rai’s next has the ‘King Khan’ as the lead protagonist and Padukone will be paired with Khan as the leading lady but now it is being said that to avoid any clash, the actress has decided to opt out of the film. The reason being that the dates finalized for the shoot of Rai’s film were clashing with that of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ which is in the making. And as the actress had committed to Bhansali long before she said yes to Rai, hence she decided to deny the latter. On the other hand, film ‘Padmavati’ too has had a setback as the unit and crew faced violence and protests on the sets of the shoot in Rajasthan and Kolhapur due to which there has been delays whilst filming. The movie is currently being shot in Mumbai and it’s reported that actor Shahid Kapoor is shooting with them and Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will be soon joining them. Padmavati, directed by ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali will be starring Deepika Padukone as the main protagonist in the role of Rani Padmavati with Shahid Kapoor essaying the role of her husband, Raja Rawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh will be the antagonist, Alauddin Khilji.
It may also be noted here that actress Deepika Padunkone had started her Bolly career with the King Khan himself in ‘Om Shanti Om’ that went on to become a huge hit and their jodi was on of the most popular on screen jodi. Fans were also eagerly waiting for their comeback as a pair on screen but it’s the opposite happening now.
