On Tuesday, a person found a lumpsum of Rs 30,000-35,000 old demonetized notes in a burnt state from a drain near Balibandha gate in Tanlapada, here. On receiving the information about the same, the cops immediately arrived at the person’s residence and annexed those burnt currencies. it’s suspected that someone had first set those old currency notes on fire and then threw them into the drain.
