Dengue Positive cases found in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: June 03: Four Dengue positive cases have been reported from Bhubaneswar. It has now put the administrative officials in twin city of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar on their toes to take preventive measures to contain the outbreak.

Already, administration has taken steps and started a dengue ward with eight beds in Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar. An emergency meeting was convened by Cuttack Municipal Corporation Mayor to plan a strategy to combat the dengue menace in the city. It has been decided in the meeting to go for massive sanitation drive and desilting the drains, sources said.

In Odisha, several cases of dengue virus infection were detected for since 2010 and the importance of dengue as a serious mosquito-borne viral infection was felt year by year with the reporting of many more positive cases.
