Bhubaneswar, Mar 15: Today Milita Odisha Nisha Nibarana Abhijan demonstrated an indefinite dharana ahead of the residence of Excise Minister Damodar Rout in protest of the renewal notice of liquor license and also demanded the cancellation of the alcohol license. As per their allegation, the liquor license renewal notice for the year 2017-18 is published only in English and has been sent at the Tehsil offices only. In addition to that just giving mere three days to submit objections, people are finding it difficult to do so and so a month’s time is being demanded. Notice cancellation and getting it again published in odiya is also demanded. President of Milita Odisha Nisha Nibarana Abhijan Padmacharan Nayak, Secretary Ramakant Mandal along with various other members were a part of the dharna. However, police forcefully dispersed the people and also few were detained.
