Bhubaneswar, Mar 15: In connection to the delay in giving away the question papers for the plus II exams yesterday due to the supply of question papers of the wrong subject being Chemistry instead of Mathematics, the School and Mass Education minister Debi Prasad Mishra directed the the examination controller of Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) to conduct an thorough investigation submit report within two weeks. The controller will be visiting the press where the question papers had been printed and packed. If the press was found to have committed the blunder, it will be black-listed. The supposedly created conspiracy behind such an incident will also come to fore after investigation. The CHSE authorities blamed the printing press for the serious mistake. Examination controller Biranchi Narayan Mishra said that the press is responsible of the the printing and packaging of the question papers and the same packages are dispatched to the examination centres.
Notably due to this goof-up yesterday, the examination was delayed by one hour. After the Mathematics question papers were brought from nearby centres and photocopied, the exam begun. Besides, the Council has announced that the Chemistry exam will be conducted on Mar 30 instead of Mar 16 and the exam would begin from 2 pm.
