Bhubaneswar, Nov 7: For the upcoming dog show which will be held on December 10 in Bhubaneswar, dog owners have started to train and groom their dogs. Many dog owners have been seen taking their dogs early in the morning at around 6:30-7 am for training and practice in the field at Unit-1, Market building area in the capital city, where the dog show will also be held in December. One will get to see dog breeds like Golden Retriever, Doberman, Rottweiler, Dalmatian, German Shepherd, Labrador and others participating in the competition. A dog trainer Kiran Patil, who has been grooming his dog for the show said, “The dog show is being organized since last 3-4 years. The judges give points based on the relationship between the dog and the owner.” The way the dog behaves with its owner, its physique and grooming will be judged at the show. Besides, the way in which the dog performs at the show based on the training given to it by its owner or trainer will also be emphasized.
Every year many participants enlist their names for the show. This time it is expected to be higher. However, the judges for the show and the prize for the winner are yet to be confirmed.
