Drivers from Odisha hold Protest Rally
Thousands of Drivers from Odisha held a huge rally in Bhubaneswar today. For which, vehicular traffic in Odisha capital came to a halt for some time.
The Drivers hit the streets of Odisha’s Capital under the banner of Odisha Driver Mahasangha with their 10-point demands.
Drivers from various parts of the State gathered in Bhubaneswar early in the morning and started the rally from Palasuni. They were all in uniform and holding banners with write up of their demands.
They are demanding insurance coverage of Rs 10 lakh on accident and Rs 20 lakh on death, provision of allowance and pension after 60 years of retirement age, compensation for the losses they incurred during the Coronavirus pandemic, fixed eight hours of duty, extension of validity of their driving license and COVID Warrior status to all drivers.
The Rally is heading towards Naveen Niwas.
