Fact finding team to submit report within 2 days on NIT sexual harassment row:

Rourkela: May 26: Fact-finding team has started its probe from today into the sexual harassment charges against the Chief Security Officer of National Institute of Technology.

Yesterday, the NIT students have alleged that a woman security officer was sexually harassed by Institute’s chief security officer Balaram Champatiray. Students have also shown some video footage and still photographs of the incident happened in the Institute to the Media Persons. NIT students had staged a dharna demanding removal of the security officer and also, they had met the Director of the Institute Sunil Kumar Sarangi in this regard.  On the other hand, Champatiray has termed allegations against him as baseless.

The fact finding team enquiring into the allegations, will submit its preliminary report within fourty eight hours and final report within a week, sources said. Institute has also asked Champatiray not to join the duty in the institute.
