Rayagada, Apr 12: In an interesting incident, here at Rayagada, yesterday, the district police has arrested a gang for their alleged involved in extorting money from public, acting a as fake a maoists.
A gang of 8 members, which includes a woman had created quite a good terror in the districts of Kalahandi and Rayagada. Notably, they have been calling people like government employees, businessmen and contractors in the region and have been asking them for money, acting as Maoists.
However, the police has arrested the 8, along with has seized few mobile phones, SIM cards and other items from their possession. The interrogation is on and soon the other gang members will also be arrested, said sources
