Bhubaneswar, Apr 20: BJP’s idea of Fresh controversy has surrounded the kin of freedom fighter Chakara Bisoi whom the PM had felicitated here. Descendants and locals have alleged that the real kin of the freedom fighter has not been honoured.
It is said that Chakara had not children but two brothers named Nanda and Sankha whose descendants reside in Bhanjanagar, Jagannath Prasad and in the outskirts of Belaguntha block. It is alleged by Narsingha Bisoi who claims himself to be the descendant of Chakara that a non-tribal person has been felicitated by the PM although Chakara was a tribal. Hence, some conspiracy has been led against them, said Sudarshan Bisoi who is another claimant.
On the other hand, Netaji Bisoi, the person who was felicitated by the PM, has claimed that, “Chakra had no immediate family, We are from his Father’s brother’s family”.
