Paradip, Apr 17: Today yet again, oil from IOCL pipeline was stolen by miscreants and they did so by damaging the pipes at the Nehru road near the port here. The damage let the oil flow into the Kaudia creek and fields and also got spilled into the water bodies thus severely affecting the aquatic animals. The locals here fear that this leakage can contaminate the nearby water bodies consumed by humans. After being informed about the theft, the IOCL authorities immediately ordered the engineers to repair the damaged pipes. Such incidents of oil stealing have occurred in May 2016. On the other hand, investigation into the incident has been launched.
