New Delhi, May 5: At the upcoming test series against New Zealand that is scheduled to begin from May 14 at Midlands, Odisha girls Deep Grace Ekka, Sunita Lakra, Namita Toppo, Lilima Minz and Anupa Barla will be playing the five-match series and striker Rani Rampal will be the skipper among the 20-member Indian women’s hockey squad. The vice-captain of the team will be veteran defender Sushila Chanu Pukhrambam who will be having a comeback after around eight months of rehabilitation due to an injury. The goal keeper will be Savita. Earlier, Savita had had a brilliant goal keeping at the Women’s Hockey World League Round 2 and had also won the Goal Keeper of the Tournament title. Rajani Etimarpu has been roped in as the second goal keeper in the team. The midfield will have Ritu Rani, Lilima Minz, Navjot Kaur, Monika, Renuka Yadav, Nikki Pradhan and Reena Khokar. The forwardline will feature Rani, Vandana Katariya, Preeti Dubey, Sonika and Anupa Barla.
