Bhubaneswar, Jan 31: National Aluminium Company Limited(NALCO) organized ‘Basant Pushpa Pradarshani’, its annual Flower & Vegetable Show at Nalco Nagar, Bhubaneswar on 28th and 29th January. As many as 12 institutions and 65 individuals participated in the show in various categories.
On the concluding day function, Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO, was the chief guest. Smt. Preeti Roy, President, NALCO Mahila Samiti, was the guest of honour and handed over the prizes to the winners. Among others, Shri Amiya Patnaik, GM (H&A) and Smt. Sabita Patnaik, Member, Nalco Mahila Samiti also graced the occasion.
In the Institutional Category, Special appreciation prize was bagged by C.V. Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar while the Special prize for display of potted vegetable pots was bagged by Khuntia Nivas, Puri. The Queen of the Show prize was won by Ms. Bijaylaxmi Moharana of Patia.
Earlier, Shri B.K. Thakur, Director (HR), inaugurated the show in presence of other senior executives of NALCO. Shri R.K. Pradhan, Sr. Manager (Mech) coordinated the programme.
