Bhubaneswar, Dec 9: The Chandrasekharpur police today busted a Gang dealing with stealing of car and auto batteries and tyres.
Today the Chandrasekharpur police arrested 3 members of a gang identified as Sisir Mishra and Sibakumar Maharana of a Slum near Damana Square and another Pipina Nayak of mandap slum, for stealing batteries and tyres of car and autos.
According to sources, earlier, a report was filed at the Chandrasekharpur PS regarding the missing tyres of an auto rickshaw of Purna Chandra Panda residing in Phase 1 of Chandrasekharpur. Later, another report mentioning about a stolen battery and tyres was also filed at the PS by Anandmayi Routray of Housing Board colony.
Acting on the cases the police was keeping a keen eye on the near by garages and Vehicle parts shops. Finally today the police busted Sisir and Siba when they came to a spare parts shop with the parts to sell. After investigating the police has arrested the third person Pipina in link with the stealing. Chandrasekharpur police has recovered 10 tyres and 3 batteries from them along with a car, which they were using.
The accused were forwarded to the court. While the police continue its search for the others associated with the gang.
