Berhampur, Jan 6: Some youth of Malada village in Ganjam have allegedly gangraped a girl aged 25 on the eve of New Years. The allegation came out in the open after the girl filed a complaint yesterday at the police station.
As per sources, finding her alone in the house as her mother had gone out, the youth raped her. Later after consulting with her mother, the girl registered an FIR.
However, police has detained four accused in this case and they have send the culprits to MKCG Medical College and Hospital for medical test. After getting the test report, further action will be taken aginst them, informed Ramakanta Mallick, Inspector in Charge, Ganjam police station.
Later, claiming it to be a plan, the villagers demanded the release of the arrested youth.
