Govt committed to resolve people’s problems quickly: CM Majhi

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Tuesday said that the government of the people is with them and is committed to resolve their problems quickly.
“Steps are being taken for the speedy resolution of their grievances,” he said at the ninth round of the Chief Minister’s grievance hearing program here.
In a statement to the media, the Chief Minister said that his government is providing assistance to all sections of people through the grievance cell.
“Special priority is being given to the differently-abled, senior citizens and those in need of urgent services,” he added.
People suffering from grief and problems come here with their problems and grievances, he said, asserting that all the grievances are taken seriously and the grievances are being sent to the concerned departments and authorities for prompt
CM Majhi lent a patient ear to the problems and grievances of the people and took immediate steps to resolve and remedy them.
Immediate assistance is being provided from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to people suffering from incurable and terminal illnesses through the single window system. Today, under this system, Hemant Sahu, a paralytic from Nimapada in Puri district, Vichitra Paikaraya, a paralytic from Nirakarpur in Khurda district, Indu Behera, a cancer patient from Tikabali in Kandhamal district, and Rashmita Nayak, who has been spending all her money on the treatment of her son from Gajapati district were given Rs. 1 lakh each.
Hazira Bibi, a bone marrow cancer patient from Bhograi in Balasore district received Rs. 3 lakh on instructions from the Chief Minister.
A medical team was also deployed in the Grievance Cell to expedite the process of providing immediate assistance.
Along with the Chief Minister, 7 members of his Cabinet were present and listening to the issues of the people. All grievances were listened to with great attention and, where necessary, the members of the Cabinet and the present senior secretary-level officers gave instructions to the concerned authorities over the telephone.
Out of the 8737 grievances received till the eighth round of this program, which started on July 1 last year, as many as 7331 have been resolved.
