Berhampur(Odisha), May 11: Jail authorities have initiated action against two wardens of the Circle Jail in silk city after recovery of cash, ganja and cellphones in the prison.
According to officials, while one warden Chinmay Pradhan was suspended, another Mangulu Sethi was transferred yesterday on the grounds of negligence in duty.
Around 17 packets of ganja, 80 packets of cigarette, six cellphones, three SIMs, around Rs 83,000 cash, 200 bidi packets, over 1200 gutkha pouches, two knives and several playing cards were seized from the jail on Monday, officials said.
A file containing news clippings on Chhota Rajan was also found in the jail, they said.
District Administration has ordered inquiry into the incident.
