Bhubaneswar, Apr 24: The state govt today, after getting a green signal from the governor, has decided to go for a two-day special Assembly session, to discuss the state GST bill, which is a must need, that is needed to be followed before the nationwide implementation of Uniform GST.

The session that will be held on May 18th and 19th will focus on the GST bill along with will discuss issues on state’s share (profits and losses) from the GST regime and will also discuss about the amendment of the Odisha Value Added Tax (VAT).

As of sources, for a brief understanding of the new nationwide tax regime for the MLAs of the state, a workshop regarding the same will be organised before the session.
