Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is poised to release new guidelines for its flagship scheme, Subhadra Yojana, aimed at benefiting those whose applications were previously denied.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced that a high-level meeting will soon be convened to discuss eligibility criteria and explore ways to include ineligible applicants.
“In the upcoming meeting, we will review the list of 2.67 lakh rejected applications and assess the criteria that may allow for their inclusion,” Parida informed.
Additionally, she confirmed that the third phase of the first installment of the Subhadra Yojana will be launched shortly.
The scheme was was launched on September 17 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Nearly 60 lakh women have benefited from the scheme, receiving Rs 5,000 during the first two phases.
Approximately 25 lakh women received assistance in the first phase, with more receiving support during the second phase on October 9.
