Bhubaneswar, Mar 14: In a tragic incident, about 7 people were hurt, while a toll gate was ravaged after a violent clash between two groups belonging to Siuala and Ujanipada village broke out, during the holi celebrations in Puri.
As of sources, the incident that took place at about 12.30 pm today, was an outcome of a rivalry during the Panchayat elections. Four persons who had attained serious injuries were admitted to the capital hospital in Bhubaneswar today and later were shifted to the SCB hospital in Cuttack, while 3 others are still under treatment at Pipli Hospital.00
Notably, about 50 people entered the Pipili toll gate and ravaged the counters including computers, CCTV cameras and other devices and equipment. Later the area was covered with police forces, Adequate amount of police personnel have been deployed in the area to maintain law and order situation.
