Bargarh, Mar 23: The deceased farmer Hadu Bagarti’s wife Kalabati Bagarti along with five other villagers suo moto submitted an affidavit here before the Tehsildar. Addressing the Chief Minister, Agriculture Minister, High Court and the Human Rights Commission, in the affidavit, she has clearly mentioned crop loss and debt burden as the sole reasons behind Hadu’s suicide and not family feud. Along with this, she has also mentioned about her husband’s severe mental stress over crop failure which was majorly due to lack of irrigation. In her affidavit, she has requested not to politicise the circumstances of her husband’s death and disrespect the departed soul. This was said by Sirish Ballabh Mishra, a lawyer here.
