Bhubaneswar, April 13: Handloom designer Sribhas Chandra Supakar was conferred the Padma Shri by President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday. Supakar is a native of Jharuapara in Sambalpur. Supakar completed his diploma in handloom designing in 1985 and move ahead in the footsteps of his father in Banaras.
Film maker Nila Madhab Panda and Koshali poet Haldhar Nag of Odisha have already received the prestigious Padma Shri award this year.
