Bhubaneswar, Jan 16: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday launched Hazard Vulnerability Portal developed with assistance of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) in the State.
He also launched the online Management Information System (MIS) under Odisha Disaster Recovery Project (ODRP) which is aimed at effective monitoring of the National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project (NCRMP) for quality implementation and timely completion.
The Chief Minister thanked World Bank for implementing the project in Odisha, which he said will play an important role in saving lives during tropical cyclones and other climatological disasters.
He added that cyclone shelters have emerged as community hubs to strengthen community bonding for effective management of disasters.
