Cuttack: July 25: The Orissa High Court issued an interim stay on the announcement of the Odisha Civil Services 2021 results after hearing a petition filed by a divyang candidate. High Court has issued a direction in this regard and asked the Odisha Public Service Commission not to release the result without its permission.

The next hearing will be held in the first week of September 2023.

Satish Kumar Panigrahi was not allowed to participate in the Personality test as he is a divyang candidate. He then filed a writ petition with the High Court, asking for direction to the OPSC to allow him to participate in the test.

According to the Persons with Disability Act of 2016, candidates who have a 40 percent permanent disability are eligible for a recruitment quota.

Hearing the petition, the High Court directed the OPSC to allow the petitioner to participate in the personality test, which is presently going on.

Additionally, the state government is ordered to establish a medical board and send the petitioner to the board for examination. In addition, the High Court ordered that the medical certificate be presented to the court by the next date.
