Bhubaneswar: June 27: Coastal Odisha experienced heavy rainfall since yesterday as cyclonic circulation formed over south-west Bay of Bengal turned into a low pressure. This heavy rainfall has disrupted normal life in twin-city Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
Cuttack recorded highest rainfall of 92.2 mm whereas Bhubaneswar recorded 69.2 mm. Twin-city witnessed water logging in most part of the residential areas and in some parts; it has created the view of lake. School going children, office goers has to face real problem as they are not able to come out of their houses due to water logging in lanes and bi-lanes.
Also, it is predicted more rain fall in next two three days, which may create further problems for city dwellers. Several citizens have blamed that; non-completion drainage work has been creating such situation and asked the local authorities to take care of it immediately. On the other side, local authorities have been working to evacuate the water as instant solution.
