Jaleswar: High alert in Odisha for Operation Sindoor. Strict checks are being carried out on the islands in the sea near Talasari on the Odisha-West Bengal border under Bhograi block of Balasore district.
Strict frisking and checking are being conducted on the 8-metre boats going for fishing. The islands in the sea are being thoroughly checked.
While there is no facility to track the fishing boats, the maritime police is swimming caught, the maritime officials are swimming in the water and checking the boat.
The police force, fisheries department, intelligence department have been involved in this. While Talasari is on the Odisha-West Bengal border, Bangladesh is only 150 km away from Talasari. For this, high alert has been issued for Talasari and Udaipur.
