Bhubaneswar, Jan 6: Ahead of the upcoming panchayat elections, the State Election Commission (SEC) will conduct a high-level meeting on Friday to discuss about the preparedness for the Panchayat polls. The meeting will be held at the State Secretariat here.
The meeting will be attended by Asit Tripathy, Home Secretary, AP Padhi, Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner, DGP KB Singh and collectors of all districts and SP.
Sources said that in the meeting, security arrangement at polling booths, proper execution of model code of conduct, law and order situation at the booths will be discussed.
It may be noted that, the Panchayat elections will be starting from Feb 13 and will end on Feb 21.
