Bhubaneswar: July 11: As the water level at the Hirakud Dam is increasing, Dam authorities released season’s first flood water into Mahanadi River today.
Flood water was discharged from sluice gate No.7 at around 10 am. This was done following certain religious rituals conducted by Dam Authority.
Also, authority opened another Sluice gate today to release the flood water.
Currently, the water level at the dam stands at 609.39 ft.
