IAF gears up for upcoming Air Show in Cuttack, Odisha

Cuttack, Dec 22: Being one day left for the mega air show, the Indian Air force team have carried out their rehearsals for the same, on Wednesday to showcase their amazing stunts with perfection to the people on Dec 23.

Yesterday, IAF’s Sarangi helicopter team practiced in Cuttack. Also, Surya Kiran fighter aircraft team and Akash Ganga team would also perform various stunts in the one hour air show. Team Akash Ganga will carry out human chain stunt in air, informed AK Dwivedy, IAF authority. As per source, the show will be graced by the Governor and the Chief Minister. For VIPs and others, special arrangement have been made and special enclosure has also been set up at the Kathajoidi Park. On the other side, about security and to avoid any accidental situation while performing air stunts, meat shops have been closed down from Dec 20 to Dec 23 and  dumping of garbage has also been prohibited near the venue to prevent any bird activities, informed Vishal Dev, Secretary of Sports and Youth Affairs.

The daredevil stunts would be performed by 100 pilots, 10 IAF officials of Surya Kiran Aerobatics, Saranga Aerobatics and Akash Ganga Aerobatics teams of IAF. For the stunts 10 fighter aircrafts and 6 helicopters would be used.
