Bhubaneswar: February 14: On an intelligence input about alleged stolen valuable idols, in the residential house of one Sayeed Zilnoor under Khandagiri Police limits, a team of officers of STF conducted raid in the house and seized two Idols made up of Asta Dhatu from him possession.
As per STF, the weight of Idols was found to be 18 Kg 440 grams and 12 Kg 60 grams respectively. There was no document with him in support of such possession.
‘It came to the light that Sayeed Zilnoor and his associates with criminal conspiracy used to procure such valuable Idols from various temples for selling for pecuniary gain. The cost of the seized Idols would be around Rs.2.5 crore in International market’, STF Press Release said.
The accused was arrested and forwarded to court.
