Bhubaneswar: February 14: Six-member team of the Election Commission of India reached Bhubaneswar and held discussions with the Political Parties of Odisha. Sources said, the team of ECI, led by Election Commissioner Ashok Lavasa is here to discuss the preparations for the upcoming general elections.
Senior Congress Leader Narasingha Mishra led the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee, BJP leader Bhrugu Baxipatra took the lead of BJP delegation and Amar Patnaik & Sasmit Patra represented ruling-BJD delegation.
Members of different Political Parties presented their view points and demands before the team while meeting.
The other members of the team are Chandra Bhushan Kumar, Deputy Election Commissioner, D K Sharma, DG Expenditure, Sheyphali Saran, ADG PIB, Nikhil Kumar, Director and Rakesh Kumar, Secretary.
